EXCLUSIVE SEAPONY ACOUSTIC SET!

This past Friday, KSUB hosted Seapony for our weekly "KSUB Presents" concert series. The band played their first-ever acoustic set, mellowing out their songs for an intimate show. The audience participated in an question and answer session with the band, asking about new music and what it was like to open for Built to Spill.
Special thanks to the band for joining us!

FIT FOR HOUNDS FILLS THE LOUNGE!!

This past Friday, FIT FOR HOUNDS completely filled the KSUB Lounge with fans as part of our "KSUB Presents" live concert series. The band invited the audience to clap and dance along to songs off their new EP, which is available on their Facebook and BandPage. As a special treat, the band did a Q & A session with the audience, with topics ranging from how they got their name (think Shakespeare), what they would describe their "sound" as, and, of course, LARPing.
Many thanks to the band for stopping by,
be sure to check out a show every Friday at 8pm in the Lounge!

WES GONZALEZ SOLO SET IN THE STUDIO!

Seattle U's own Wes Gonzalez captivated the weekly "Locals Only" crowd with a solo, acoustic set in the studio on Friday, November 4th. Wes played a range of his original tracks, as well as entertained us with an awesome cover of Death Cab for Cutie's "Lightness," as well as a Citizen Cope cover and a Brand New cover.
If you haven't been to a Friday night show in the Lounge, why the heck not?! They're all ages, FREE, and there's always plenty of candy corn!

Fruit Bats @ Neumos! (11.19.11, 21+)

HEY YOU. Interesting, catchy music with a hint of soul is hip and in style. So are The Fruit Bats. Playing at Nuemos & presented by KSUB - The Fruit Bats will make your heart leak some love. They have some synthesize sizzle going on that sounds like happiness in an open field.
The band of five formed around 1997 under Eric Johnson’s influence. Johnson worked as an instructor at a school of folk music and had a space-rock band called Rowboat, which eventually evolved into The Fruit Bats. The sound is old world, a bit like something from the 70s. My recommendation is that if you enjoy Rogue Wave, Tame Impala or Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin, see this show - and if you aren’t sure, go anyways because Nuemos is such a neato venue.
The Show is 21+ on November 19th. Advanced Tickets: $12 @ Moe Bar.
Peace.
